Shall have the requisite aptitude for the role by way of relevant knowledge and skills, including formal training.
Shall preferably
have relevant experience related to
the dispute.
Shall have no interest
in the outcome of the Mediation.
Shall upfront disclose
to the parties any relationship that (s)he has with any of them.
Shall facilitate the Mediation by controlling the process of exploration and negotiation, which involves a series of joint and one-on-one meetings with the parties.
Shall be guided by objectivity and
fairness.
Shall assist the parties in an independent, neutral and impartial manner.
Shall maintain professional and ethical conduct.
Shall protect the voluntary,
confidentialty and the party-centric features of the process.
Shall not decide on
the dispute.
